I believe this is the extremely saddest moment that has happened in any of the animes that I've watched. This is an excerpt from Elfen Lied.

I should probably clear this up. The little girl was extremely dangerous otherwise, so in case she went against their will, they had been implanting explosives in her body since the day she was born. The man who typed in the code did it just to follow orders. It's really sad if you get the whole story of it...

God dammit, I was addicted to this anime for about a week a few months ago, and I was sad because of the concept and story of this anime... it took a few days for me to not want to rewatch it for the thousandth time... I kind of cried at the end of the anime, and now you make me want to watch it again... god fucking dammit Corey....
