Man I had XGL and Edgy Eft running wine and cs 1.6 perfectly about a year ago. It had a full 99fps all the time. I can't get it to run on hardy heron at all. The game starts then freezes. I am on a 7900GT now with full acceleration but I just can't get it to work. No idea what's going on. *sniff* *sniff*

noob you need the wine emulator to start windows applications

you need to get wine. i used it but its so choppy. CS does not run well on linux from my experience it seems very choppy.

what did you use to record your desktop? cuz "recordmydesktotop" lags the final result =S

I used gtkrecordmydesktop nothing else but just to be sure u need to have medibuntu repositories enabled also universe and multimerse. also u might want to add the "sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras".. presuming it's not a video hardware issue you are experiencing should work smooth.
