The scene was set. The Cast 4 x FJ40's and 1 x FJ60 Toyota Landcruisers (not a Nissan in sight). The Location - Warburton, Australia. The weather - Crap for everything but 4wd. The Roads - Muddy, wet, rutted - Just what we were looking for. The Fallout - 1 broken CV (on the 60 early in the piece). The Result - well have a look for yourself.

  • what shocks are you running mate any idea as to what the ranchos rs9000 are like on a 40 series ?

or where to get the bilstiens 5150 or 5125`s in oz

  • @TheUnDeRGRouNDHoBo I have terrain tamer on the front and rear of the yellow car. Not sure what the other guys are running.

  • Looks great!. Currently putting discs brakes in my fj45 troppie. Where abouts is this place? VIctoria?

cant wait to hit some tracks like this.

  • @spazz1234567

It's in Warburton, about an hour east of Melbourne.

When you get those brakes on, let us know and what other mods you have got like tyres, lockers.....and we'll try to find some nice muddy tracks again.

  • right now, pretty stock. bf Goodrich A/T, full roll cage. 10leaf springs. steering damper. im all the way up at QLD. :( but that does look like a place that i will have to road trip down to some time.

Lockers is on the to do list if the troppie runs well. if u dont mind me asking what kind of price would i be looking at? front and back. and is it worth it?

  • @spazz1234567

For ARB F and R with Air kit, about $2500. You can go an autolocker for a bit cheaper, but my car, the yellow one, and the orange one, has ARB's on it. They are great and reliable and give you a bit of confidence in challenging yourself, while you still need to maintain a level head about what you are challenging.

The 10 leaf springs will reduce flex, but depends on if your carrying weight in the back.

  • Ah k thanks. cant wait to start taking her out. those trucks in the video look bloody great.

  • @itsfromlawrence so you had to change the shackle holder position yeah ? would you get away with it using a 145mm centre to centre bolt size shackle without moving it ?

  • @itsfromlawrence yeah mate i put 75 series extended shackles f/r with a reset 2 in pack on the front and i bought a set of old man emu rear 2.5 in lift springs sits nice with 33`s it wanders bad over undulations on the road but its a nicer ride i still havent got shockers as i want the proper size its sitting way to high for standard 2 inch lift shocks i need 12 inch travel rears with 10 inch travel fronts was going to go rancho rs 9000 adjustables but have read bad things maybe bilstiens 5125`s

  • @itchyundies

Hey how did you go in buying something?.

It's not really a bolt up affair in moving hanger locations etc... but can be done by a few people who know what they are doing and not talking like they know what they are doing.

The 40's are awesome things and I love it.
