Fiamma's Kitchen on BTV (Bulgarian Television, Channel 2), 8 o'clock news, 17 July 2008. The first organic-biodynamic company in Bulgaria producing fresh vegetables and jars.
Interview to Dragomir Matein.

Text of the interview:
Journalist: In Bulgaria, finally, we have the first production of organic grapes and vegetables. The first production ever of organic fruits and vegetables will be released near the village of Izvorovo, near Harmanlii. On this experimental field we meet Dragomir Matein, where he's growing hundrep percent organic tomatoes, peppers and aubergines. There is no use of chemicals, fertilizers and herbicides. Illnesses are cured by natural remedies.
Dragomir: Biodynamic principles are applied and one uses nettle, camomile and/or dandelion teas. This is the way we help our plants.
Journalist: The cost of production of peppers is very high compared to the standard ones. Despite that, there is a market for such products.
Drago: You will not find our product on the market, as they are niche products.
Journalist: the typical buyers for this kind of product are top restaurants in Sofia. The cost of organic table grapes could reach the price of 7 leva per Kilo in such establishments. 7 leva per decare [35 euros per hectare] is the subsidy that organic producers receive , which is obviouly not enough.
Drago: 7 leva is not enough. For instance, if you go to Sofia airport, with that money you would have coffee and a coke, and that is ridiculous. The government represented by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Agricultural Fund doesn't have a clue about what we're talking.
Journalist: The hope of every organic producer in Bulgaria is that soon people will be able to find specialised organic shops where the final client will be able to purchase healthy products. In this way, there would be an incree of the organic production, and obviously a lower price for these products. Our correspondent from Harmanlii, Maria Gheorgieva.
