The Fellsman hauled by LMS Jubilee class number 5690 Leander. Seen northbound at Blea Moor and Southbound at Ais Gill. Sorry about the wobble around 7;34, went over on my ankle stepping over the tripod. No I hadnt had a drink!

  • Amazing filming. For me though it's such a shame she is in LMS livery because it makes the loco look like a museum piece on a rare day out, rather than capturing those last S&C runs by grimy, dark green Jubilees at the end of steam. They spent almost all of their lives green and hardly anyone who remembers Jubilees saw them with the big, LMS numbers..

  • Great shots ,my kind of steam video,superb engine,fantastic sound,both in a fabulous setting,one to savour,thanks

  • Your too kind Bob. I will try harder next time!

    Thanks,

    John.

  • Don't be so hard on yourself John, an 180 degree pan without a professional tripod is never an easy thing to achieve, as we all know to our cost, but onwards and upwards as they say..Bob

  • Glad you enjoyed the vid Matt. At Blea Moor I was heading for another position but time was against me. Not a great lover of going away shots but there is something differant about that one. Its my favourite class of loco too.

    Regards,

    John.

  • Thanks Bob. I wasnt really happy with the panning, like it said in my old school reports, could do better with a little more effort!

    Regards,

    John
