  • this is stupid! as you can see the red car is much heavier than silver car. b realistic man!

  • @richietoldo ok, they are different cars, but they switch tires on the vehicles... so what does weight have to do with it?

each car stopped in time with winter tires on it, and slid with all seasons on it.

  • Why does the car equipped car have to break on an icier looking terrain?????

  • I don't understand? car equipped car?

I was not present or had anything to do with the actual test.

It was given to me by my BFTS rep.

  • 2 winter tyres it is then! :P

  • This isn't quite right, I'm afraid. Modern winter tyres grip much better than summer tyres in cold temperatures on any surface (as I can testify from running mine), and are great in the wet and dry. Summer tyres grip better in the warm, of course, and winter tyres wear out very quickly once temperatures go up.

  • @richietoldo christ on a cracker you are stupid. you didn't even watch the video did you.

  • Umm drive slower on all season and you dont have to spend 1000 on winters,,, let those winter tires passed you,,,, and be safe, winter tires might prompt drivers to be boastfull and forget to slow down and get into accident

  • UH... @ 0:40 the red car doesn't even turn the wheels.....

  • @ZlatanTDR

Most manufacturer's do this same recommendation with all tires, meaning if you do put new ones on, install them on the rear. This is counter intuitive, but they are just covering their asses basically stating they'd rather have understeer rather than oversteer as its easier to regain control.

  • Anyone notice in the "braking test" that the car that struggles to stop is always on the left hand side as you look at the video?

Which on the over head view also shows its packed down polished ice!

    Talk about falsifying data. FIX!

  • if u got only 2 winter tyres install them always on rear axle dont metter if the car is front or rear drive

  • @trhsct

Of course. The reason they make these videos is to show how much safety can be lost. I just found out that 2 w front and 2 allseason rear is catastrophic, and Im thanking the tire manufactures for giving me good info so I can buy winters and protect my ass
