Epic Heavy/Power Metal from USA

Song from: Crystal Logic Full-length, 1983 [Black Dragon Records vinyl rip]

Lineup:
Mark Shelton - Vocals, Guitars
Scott Parks - Bass
Rick Fisher - Drums

Lyrics:
What lies in the dungeons
Of Holy men's fears
For what would kings cower
And men drown in tears
What brings death and pleasure
Growth and decay
What makes life worth living
Who's the master today

That's how the note read
Slipped under my door
The reason I know not
I have to know more
A poem to ponder
A challenge this night
The Riddle Master
Wants to master my mind

Oh no no no, oh no no no

Strange I was chosen
The fool divine
To battle the master
Of riddle and rhyme
Another mountain
For me to climb
I must find the answer
Before I run out of time

I have no solution
My mind blank with fear
The riddle has slain me
The master is near
Another demon
Walking the Earth
An Angel of darkness
Lucifer

Oh no no no, oh no no no

I can't believe it's true
I feel so damn confused
All I know is I must carry on and on and on

With blazing steel I'll fight
The evil in the night
Daughter of hell I shall not lose, not to you

Then it came to me
Just like a waking dream
The answer had to be Reality

The master does not laugh
Defeated by a man
Leviathan be damned, yea, yea, yea

  • @clcs13 try ebay mate ;-) also, hrrecordsDOTde issued the latest album in three versions of vinyl and will be reissuing all the older albums on vinyl as well.

  • @ManillaRd not fair

  • The blue version is actually a reissue from Black Dragon, the original version was released on black vinyl from Roadster records. Still a great buy at a mint condition. Congrats mate.

  • Nice upload dude. I first discovered Manilla Road while I was in college in the early 80's and Crystal Logic was the album. I see you have the blue vinyl version....nice! I have a copy of the LP back at my parents home (along with about 500 others from the 60's, 70's and 80's. I never did understand why Mark and the boys rarely toured as I was always hoping to catch a show. At any rate, thanks for the memories!
