Jack Herer knew that documents about Henry Ford's Hemp Car were someplace on earth - but where? He had no clue. He hounded and hounded and hounded the Ford Company for months and - AT LAST - got a fax that proved the car had been developed. I was in the middle of interviewing Gatewood Galbraith when, suddenly, Jack came running into the room with the ink on the fax still wet....

  • It was the December 1941 issue of Popular Mechanics. The car body, interior, and fuel was all made from hemp. The body weighed 1/7th what a conventional steel body would weigh and was TEN TIMES more impact resistant.

  • Jack Herer is a legend, and also a type of bud, which is phenomenal. Check out my channel and subscribe. Let's come together and do something about it.

  • Modern Marvels on history channel said that Henry Ford made the car from soy bean plant fiber.

Im not joking, go watch it yourself.

  • Respond to this video...

And Zelform in Australia has a proven process for making Hemp Based plastics, and only need a bunch of money to go into full production.

  • @monkeyGOODcipherBAD once, again, please show me your primary source.

I went to the Henry Ford Archives myself and talked with them and read the articles that they have. It was a soy based plastic bumper and fender.

But it is cooler to think it was Hemp based plastic.

  • @JustanUnknownComic read it again please!

  • @monkeyGOODcipherBAD and do you have the primary source to prove that assertion?

  • @tigerbody1 You are the disinfo shill, not Mr. Herer. It was MOSTLY hemp, with PART soy and PART wheat. Liar.

  • Please note that this car was made IN PART using SOY Plastics,

    NOT HEMP!

    Jack continues the mis-truth.

Go ask George Overley, the chemist that actually did the work.

  • I met Jack, he is a hero, we are all hero's if we spread the word and the knowlege.

  • Thankyou for posting...
