Actually, I know how to forage. When I go on walks in the woods, I browse for berries and onions, I consume insects, and I am more than capable of hunting small game bare handed (i.e. rabbits, birds, turtles). And besides, we are speaking of ALL of humanity. Since when did Neanderthals fish, build canoes, develop long range weapons, and TRAVEL THROUGH SPACE???

@N00bcrunch3r Quality? Then you give me a pro0f that you can survive in the fucking wo0ds!

HAHAHAHAHA! It's quality that matters, not quantity. Give me some proof? (sarcasm not allowed)

@N00bcrunch3r They are.

That's a great answer but it's speculation. Perhaps there was a plague that effected only their race? Maybe they all decided to be gay and had no offspring, who knows? Because there is no record of their culture or demise all we are left with is conjecture. The point is, nobody knows and it doesn't matter how educated you are or how many years you spend in school or in the field sniffing dust, it's simply a guess. Nothing more, nothing less.

Neanderthals. Perfect for pursing prey on the open tundra.

Let me put this into a bit more perspective, shall I? 30,000 years ago, the world was getting even colder. In Europe forest started disappearing and was replaced by tundra. There were 2 species of human. Which one survived? Homo Sapiens! We simply had superior technology such as throwing spears and simple calendars that allowed us to hunt better. And while we didn't have any adaptations for the cold, we got around this by clothes. Plus, we could run faster and for longer than...

If anything, this video shows more about what we really don't know than what we actually do know. A few hundred years ago, humans thought the world was flat and the center of the Universe. Brilliant! Science is nothing more than a bunch of guys sitting around speculating about what they 'think'. The height of human arrogance is to believe we are the only intelligent life form that is and has ever existed, and that God designed us to look like Him. Don't be naive.

Not if an asteroid takes a dump into the ocean. And within the next few thousand years, this planet but a distant memory for most people. [If we make it.]

@N00bcrunch3r Sharks will be around when we're gone. Are sharks smarter?
Thank you for the video

I think they really should of had someone from the arts to speak on the subject as well. There were loads of assumptions I don't think many `artists' would agree with, western traditional or not.... People from outside the field (In this case artists being outside the field of Anthropogeny) can usually offer novel and, sometimes, revealing insights.
