Dam that is cool, i feed mine dead ones though he does get quite aggressive when attacking it. Was the snake actually able to swallow it.

It would be dangerous if the snake ingested their bark chips when eating - tears their stomach lining.

I monitor all the feedings of my snakes simply because I don't want them to ingest the surroundings. If they got some in their mouth I'd gently take it out before they swallowed.

@Gaplox alot of snake owners find it better to have a feeding tank that has no bark or any thing in it I use coconut rines for my surround my snake loves it because it is alot softer

A lot of people have been saying that. I myself haven't seen that product at my local pet stores yet. If it's better, and cheaper, than the bark I probably would switch to it.
