@SKUSMC Its because of the guns ridiculous fire rate and explosive rounds. Thats why it can destroy tanks.

@SwankeyMonkey All MBT's use depleted uranium, including the Abrams. There's no question that the GAU 8 is an awesome weapon, I just don't see a 30mm cannon taking out a modern tank. If it would, modern tanks would not be using 120mm+ cannons. That's my 2 cents anyway.
