A common sight while diving in Molokini Crater is the whitetip reef shark. While not much of a threat, they're still beautiful to watch and incredible to see for the first time. Pay special attention to the reef. It's magnificent!

  • how big do reef sharks get???

  • Whitetips (the kind in this video) can grow to 5-6 ft. This one is 3-4.

  • cool! i saw one in Maui also on the Four winds ll!! It was also at Molikini crater!

  • Excellent! It may have been this one. I've recorded a few and when I compared the video, the markings were the same. This whitetip patrols the inner reef on a pretty consistent basis. I see him every couple of weeks or so. We park next to the Four Winds most of the time. Glad you got the opportunity to make it out!
