pioneer plasma's are indeed nice but have major power supply problems, the pannie viera's are not as good when it comes to performance but are still very nice and are in my top 5 of choice, PIONEER, PANASONIC, BANG AND OLUFSEN, TOSHIBA AND SONY.

You are right though. Panasonic doesn't compare to Pioneer. BUT, Panasonic Viera's come close.

update....I replaed the pioneer with a panasonic 50" and i mount it with a cantilever monunt above the fireplace. Now i can get to the back and change the wires around when I add or remove componets. All this withot having to remove the panel off the wall. Hopfully no more breakage.

yeah i have a rider on my home owners that covered computer equipment up to $3000. They covered it.
