According to hindus he is the son of LORD SHIVA AND LORD VISHNU.His famous temple is SABARIMALA situated in PATHANAMTHITTA, KERALA DISTRICT. Every year there are only increasing follwers for ayyappan.Not only hindus follow Ayyappan but also all other peoples of other religions.

Hi swarenb, actually there is nothing to be ashamed. It is this environment which makes us away from god and spirituality. If u r a righteous person, it is enough. God only needs peace and calm and humanity. Thats it. Apart from it I LOVE INDIA. So i hope u do so.
