ok wait wait do u have wii points? lol you need wii points to buy stuff and you have to update ur wii every month at least i think so the internet you go to ur settings and click the internet stuff and set it up its pretty self explanatory

does it matter if you have a virtual console? because i wanted to download some nes games and go on line.

no i don't think mine is virtual because i'm not able to buy any games.
