Dance for Love - Loveparade 2006

Loveparade 2006, Berlin, from the beginning to the end. Audiotrack made from original sounds (just what the camera recorded) and used independently. Please refer to the user comments for song titles. I am not an expert there but some nice people have helped me out. Thanks! The last song (3:33) is "United States of Love" by WestBam, the official LP 2006 hymn.

I reduced size and frame rate to obtain better picture quality. High quality version available on my website http://www.blueplanetvideos.com together with photos of 2006 and a description of the Loveparade since it started in 1989.

Personal addendum on the Loveparade 2010, which I did not visit:

I feel very sorry for the victims of the terrible tragedy happened during the Loveparade 2010 in Duisburg, Germany, not least because of being german myself. My thoughts are with their families and friends. I hope that thorough investigations will find and prosecute all responsible persons and that the correct conclusions will be drawn for the future. That is the least can be done for those who died, those they have left behind and also the many who suffered severe physical and psychological damage.

I do however also think that responsibility for mass parties like the Loveparade must not be carried by organizers and authorities alone. We visitors to these events do also need to do our part in order to ensure a peace- and joyful happening, by joining them with the right attitude. "Having fun" must not be confounded with "getting out of control". There is no security concept for masses being out of control. People need to be able to take care of themselves and the others in such big events. Only then disasters can be avoided, and only then there can be fun.

Sad that they didn't get permission to host it in Berlin at all times.

I was at this crazy/amazing party all the way from the states and I loved seeing everyone from all over the world come together and be able to dance their asses off and have a good time! I am obsessed with trance/techno and this is definitely the best party in the world to go to for it! I can now check this off the list of things to do before I die! I love Europe and can't wait to come back! Peace and Love from the USA!
