Music and lyrics by My Dying Bride.
Recorded at Futureworks Studios, Manchester, England, April 2008-November
2008.

Engineered and mixed by Mags and My Dying Bride.
Mastered by by Sean Magee at Abbey Road Studios, London, England, December
2008.
The ruin of your face
Pours down like lead tears
As you sit by my side
Confess to me your fears
Drink deep the wreck of me
My body is a funeral

I fail to find comfort
In your pale cold eyes
Worn loosely about me
You hang there dying off me
Deep in the misery
Of my long arms, weeping
I cradle your tired head
This moment for the keeping

Her hand raised from the shadows in silence
Like a dying victim of a biblical plague
A strange mix of innocence and horror
Gushed from her red rimmed and swollen eyes
Resentment conquers sympathy and I turn my back
Her burning stare, like a minute blazing suns
Roars into the back of my head
And I simply move away

I will sing you this song of
All my pain, so listen
Great roaring, tears pouring
Down unto me from my lover
The winter in your soul
Has frozen me forever

the band old sound *-*

  • Thumbs up if you desperately want this song to be played in your funeral!

  • music is what it is.everyone interpets it in their own way.you say emo..i say doom metal.you can say shit and i say beautiful.we get our own feelings and message out of every song regardless of style or band and for me this band is pure depressing beauty.no other band MAKES me feel emotion like this band.they make me think and take me to a place in my head where my emotions run rampant and every song evokes a differnt feeling from me and take me to a differnt place in my memorys and feelings

  • This song I like to be played on my funeral if I died of a natural cause, murdered, or suicide 8'(

  • Thank you kind sir, enjoy the rest of your night :)

  • @cockvaginaballstits

    youre a moron

  • @JBSullivan100 Depressive, yes, but only on the early albums. Especially on first two. Eternity and Alternative 4 are their way to atmospheric rock, when the Serenades are pure death doom metal and The Silent Enigma is some sort of doom metal mixed with progressive. But you got right. They're very emotionall (most on Silent Enigma for me).

  • @anahnarciso I played a My Dying Bride song at my wedding 10 years ago. "For You"

  • @JBSullivan100 I wouldn't say more depressing, just a different sort of depressing. Katatonia is also quite morose.

  • all those who just say emo at MDB are probably posers who don't know what doom metal is.

  • @ayerslay

If you like them, try out Anathema. They, in my own opinion, are more emotionally charged than MDB. Also, they write much more depressing material.
