@viewerfromnihil Funny, this comment is from me two years ago and I can see my change in taste of tone. EMGs don't do it for me anymore. Check out the Seymour Duncan Alternative 8 SH-15 pickups. They're made with Alnico 8 pickups and have a sound like no other.

To be honest these are better than the actives...I have both active and passive, its better to have passive because they sound just the same if not better and you don't have to waste money on a 9 volt battery
