The idea is to get leverage on the wheel on track. And to operate the pedals effectivly. Its not a good idea to cruze around, seat back as far as it will go and reclined as far as it will go, with p.diddy blaring out your 6x9's and JBL sub.......when your on track.
I do agree though, i have long legs, and find it difficult to operate pedals when sitting so close to the wheels.

@Stickymicky25 Oh yeah, I totally agree, but in this case this guy could put his elbows on the wheel! lol. I couldnt sit that close, probably to do with the fact im 6ft 2!

@JJMetalMad999 for a racing driver you are supposed to sit close to the wheel so your arms don't tire... you should sit so that you can rest your wrist on the top of the steering wheel...
