The founder of a Northern California technology company has been convicted of defrauding investors out of $30 million with false promises that Microsoft Corp. was acquiring the business. A federal court jury in San Francisco found Samuel "Mouli" Cohen guilty on 29 counts of wire fraud, money laundering and tax evasion. Cohen headed up Ecast Inc., a digital entertainment company.
