Cool, I am also looking into the JMonkeyEngine atm and wonder if you did this with a particle effect? I assume the trick is to leave all the animation and stuff to the gfx card totally. I really want to see how far one can push this engine for classic landscape generation.

java really... well i suppose it had to happen sooner or latter... though java wouldnt have been my first choice for 3d Graphics

Your grass looks like copies on copy on copy. They are all waay too similar, and they are all bending the same way? Same length (almost).. well you get the idea. Great work though! :)

How long did it take you to get to this point with jMonkeyEngine? I discovered it a few days ago, but I've been programming in Java for around a year off and on. (I don't expect to do this anytime soon, I am simple curious.)

@jarblewarble you can always make it incorporate an infinite terrain , it will just take a lot of cpu to implement
