I am a big time Richard Gere fan and Internal Affairs is one of the DVD's I own of him. Richard has always been known as the bad guy you never hate, but in this movie it was his most darkest roles he ever played.

@connaught2008 "The Departed" was a remake of a HK film called "Infernal Affairs", it didn't have anything to do with this film.

any1 know the departed was based on this? i thought scorsese remade a hong kong movie with same name frm 2001??

Gere was pure evil in this film. Very solid. He goes against type here. Not at all how we knew him before this movie.
