They also because of their living conditions carry a number of infectious diseases that you can contract from bites, contact with or food/water that has been contaminated with their urine, feces, fleas, carcasses including Typhus, infectious jaundice, bubonic plague, salmonella, toxoplasmosis, Korean hemorrhagic fever and rat bite fever. Living conditions must be intolerable in that house, these women clearly need state intervention for their own good as well as the public health.

These people found a few rats in their childs stroller, thankfully the infant was not in it at the time. Keeping this in mind there is a big difference between feral and pet rats, one being the sheer number of rats involved. These rats live in their own filth, eat garbage and most likely the corpses of other dead rats, contaminate and generally destroy property by chewing through, defecting and dying in crawlspaces, standing water and furniture.

I'm glad the sqwaling brat crying in the background of the last Rathouse video isn't in this one, annoying those cute little rats. One in particular was adorable. Those ladies are dear for caring. But perhaps it would have been better in the mountains or something.

At least it's happening in a rich neighborhood and the Denhams have the money to hire lawyers, etc. It kind of makes me laugh! But really, it must suck, no matter how rich you are. But I can just imagine the indignance of the rich Denhams!

That house contains thousands and thousands of rats being raised by two crazy old ladies. It's a health hazard.

Insanely, the only way it seems for you to solve this is to become a couple of crazy CAT ladies. Adopt 150 feral cats and see what happens.
Seriously though, I really feel for you. I wish you luck in getting this resolved.
PS Could you put a pile of poison-soaked food on your front yard?

The apathy and total lack of regard displayed by the local government and its corresponding agencies in helping the Denham's properly resolve this extreme health hazard is more vile than the vermin or the twin sisters them self (which of course is extreme). To allow a situation like this to fester and go unchecked is criminal; the complacent officials in charge should be shackled and jailed for gross neglect and fined for incompetence!

Wow. Just read the LA Weekly article and my heart totally goes out to you guys. We had one of these little bastards in our kitchen a few weeks ago, I can't even imagine how horrible it must be dealing with so many of them (not to mention the psycho women!)
