Yup twas the sprag. Running just fine now. Triumph redesigned the sprag since. You can find a technical bulletin online describing the issue with the sprag.... However they should have done a recall... But who wants to front the 14 hours of labor to fix the damned thing... I took the engine out and had the dealer break the crankcase and install. I put the engine back into the bike. Runs like a champ with 2200 miles on it since the install. Cheers
