@psychedelicfunkymonk Also they both have color schemes on sale right now under $400. The XD-3 on sale is called the Luster and the Shoei is Called the Hornet Sonora. They are both an intermediate oval shape.

@psychedelicfunkymonk Yo psych - Not sure on the sun shielding, but my gut is they both handle UV a/b off the top of my head, but the Arai is all-around a better helmet. I rode in both of them and went with the Arai. Its a 10/10 the Shoei is a 9/10. The fit, finish and creature comforts are a step up. Also at 90 plus, you forget you even have a visor. Can you tell I love my XD-3 ;-)

hey Anthony, between the Shoei and Arai, which one is/has:
a) better at shielding out the sun
b) better venting
c) lighter
d) comfier
e) more stable at speed (less buffeting, shaking during head checks, etc)
I've been very interested in both, and would like to decide on one. I'd appreciate any help/info. thanks! :)
