Stop the Anti-American U.N. "Law of the Sea" Treaty

President Obama is working with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to bring back from the dead the United Nations "Law of the Sea Treaty", which would compromise U.S. sovereignty and place 70 percent of the Earth's surface under the control of the U.N. as well as enact a U.N. global tax. Conservatives and Republicans are outraged, and GOP Senators correctly refused to pass this dangerous treaty while they were in the majority. Don't let this dangerous surrender to the United Nations pass.

When this program was taped, it was President Bush trying to force it to Senate passage, but now with the far more liberal Senate and President, your help to stop the treaty is needed even more.

Help me out here. I thought that the new purpose of this treaty was to allow other countries full rights of our waterways. In other words, at the event of a natural disaster or terrorist attack, the UN will have free access to come here and help control us with their armies. Correct me if I am wrong.

The treaty is not about defense at all, but about the corrupt, anti-American UN becoming the owner of the oceans, controlling access and enacting a 'world tax' to generate billions for the UN. One example: US subs in US waters would have to travel on the surface--vulnerable to attack. Also, the UN could deny the US from ocean oil drilling while allowing Cuba, Iran, Venezuela, etc. to drill. The US would have no veto.

@TCCTV You completely misunderstand this treaty like a lot of Americans. The origins of this treaty are in the Common Heritage of Mankind principle of Arvid Pardo, a Maltese national. The common heritage principle lays down a mechanism whereby the resources of the high seas (common heritage) that are not accessible to less developed countries are managed by a single international body so that developed countries like the US cannot exploit them. This is about GREED, not sovereignty
