Here's a video of my AE80 Corolla being dynoed at Dynojet (Vision Auto Tom's Sunway) during the recent Dyno shootout organized by AL AutoParts. Managed to churn out 141whp at the wheels. Bone stock 4AGE 20V Blacktop 5speed from AE111 Trueno chassis. Upgrades includes intake & exhaust mods, Greedy Emanage Blue with ignition harness, TRD 0.8mm metal head gasket and Tomei AFPR. Was running a bit rich due to the increased fuel press (notice the black puff during high rev). Sound by HKS Racing Header and Apexi N1.

  • i think it must have higher HP if u change the ring piston first, there's a lot of smoke in exhaust coming out man

  • @positiveyouthcrew Well actually I did change the piston ring before. Perhaps I have to rebore the block and put oversized pistons to totally eliminate the smoke.

  • whoa thats a bad ass car! were these released in the us? whats there name in the US?

  • @hexarage Hi there, yep these cars were released in the US as Corolla AE80/82 and also rebadged as Chevrolet Nova. However, mine was fitted with Vertex bodykit for AE86 Levin which makes it look tight.

  • what's the rpm limit?

  • @pinoyALLmotorEVOIXMR Hi, the factory RPM limit is around 8000rpm, but the highest reading I got via Apexi RSM was 8298rpm ;)

  • @flowerh0rn lol what if you change the tachometer? I mean doesn't it rev around 12,000? lol I'm sorry bro I just started getting into TRD since the Supra's reborn (Lexus LFA) and the soon to be reborn of the AE86 (Scion FRS) :) before I thought Toyota's dead and Nissan's the one beasting on performance

  • @offzide93 Hi, thanks! I bet your 20v would sound the same if you hooked up the Apexi N1 exhaust.

  • Thanks for the comments guys, really appreciated it!

Try Apexi N1 and you'll never regret!
