This was my first-ever for-real IPSC shoot, at the Wolverton Mtn. Gun Club on 31 May 2009. I'd dry-practiced before, and had done a little orientation previously with the match director, but this was the first time it counted. I've cut these few seconds from the end of the run to show a nice reload, which I'm rather proud of. I wasn't used to planning my reloads yet, so I shot the pistol empty and had to reload from slide lock. It's roughly 3.2 seconds between my last shot, realizing my weapon is empty, completing the reload, and firing the next shot. Also note that both of those shots were hits; you can hear the steel plate, about 8" across at perhaps 20 yards, ringing.
