. question? you said you cut holes for the eyes and the mouth (i'm assuming in photoshop) and then you just layered it on top of video but how did you blend it so you cant tell where the image ends and the video begins this is cool, something similiar to what i've been wanting to create. Yeah you can do it in photoshop and import either a .PSD or a .PNG so it works with alpha channels. However you could also do it with the masks in aftereffects by just highlighting the layer and then clicking on the circle masking tool to make circles around the eyes and then feathering it out.
You can make the video look the same as the image in the foreground by just playing around with curves, hues etc... in aftereffects.
