I was trying to re-create what I thought a Music Video from 1899 would have looked like, for a song written that year. It's played by its writer's own hands via a piano roll that he recorded just a few years later. Ragtime is where the Blues and Rock and Roll started. This was the first song that rocked and rolled. Inspired by Thomas Edison's films from around that era, which were mostly studies in motion using human subjects. I threw in some flashes on the beats every so often like Thomas "E" was getting Jiggy and he "put a Little English on it".
I layered several effects that come in every Windows Movie Maker as part of Vista Home Basic.
If you can find music this old and good, it's public domain by now. I think it would be a good theme for a series.

  • Yes, this is a left-handed scythe; I haven't flipped the image. Either works fine; I had use of a left and a right for awhile.

  • I resemble that remark!

  • @ichduj his right hand is at the bottom of the scythe, i'm guessing he's right handed.

  • either the film is situs inversus or this is south paw action!

  • Like Charlie Chaplin with a scythe!
