This is an animation of a school that I designed for a project at High Tech High. It was designed to be very eco-friendly and follow the High Tech High learning principles.

  • i agree with minkai, not taking anything away from your project, im sure you have worked hard on it. Trust me i know! If you're going to present a project you might want to consider using 3dsmax, kerkeythea, artlatis, or even sketch-up podium to do your final renderings and then make a video of it!!!

  • @tonyt2001

Yea, I didn't know of those programs back then plus the schools computer don't have them. I never really modeled stuff after that project, although I do model stuff in microwave simulation programs.

  • take a building... put grass on the roof and give it a solar panel or two and its eco friendly. congrats hippy

  • @sloan88 I could defend my school project here. Or realize that this is just another retarded youtube comment. Plus, you're probably 12, so I shouldn't get mad at you. In the future, try and make more constructive coments. Instead of saying something sucks, say why it sucks and how it could be better.

  • not because you put it grass and photovoltaic panels.,.,makes it sustainable..,.,the best thing u can do its to know about the weather and needs of the userr..,.,.,.,and taking that do ur sustainable architecture.,.,.,.,.,.,not just putting green!!

  • agree with sloan88. circular shape of the building is a waste of space, and doesn;t even attempt to add to its aesthetics

  • @sloan88 got a point!!! Touche...

  • got solar panels on a thin branch of building, why have the largest windowed face of your building facing north?

looks like concrete or stone is the main material, surely wood would be the most eco friendly material.

as for glass windows, you'll either need alot of heat or air con, that cant be too good for the environment.

a circular base is the least compact shape make bad use of land.

    plus it looks shit

  • don t use ketch up :D.. or use it only for development and make your final presentation in 3dsmax or maya etc

  • @mmykle

sorry buddy but sloan88 is spot on. If there is anything that makes your building "eco-friendly" it is definitely not obvious in the video.

So lets try that again in a more friendly manner shall we? What exactly makes your building ecologically more viable than any other building?
