This was one of the first songs I ever learned. The guy who taught me how to play guitar made me learn it (all 7 verses). :) Enjoy.

P.S. I played this song for years before I ever heard Dylan's version.. I never bothered to correct the lyrical mistakes that my (former) brother-in-law taught me... I kinda got used to them. :)

  • whered you learn to sing like this? i like the natural sound of your voice. also, you're tuned to D with a capo on the sacond fret, am i right? great cover man, i wish i could do this.

  • @DennChooch Hey thanks.. the singing always came natural, since before I can remember (according to my mom, before I could talk I used to hum constantly).

And very good call on the tuning, tuned to D, capo'd on the 2nd, effectively leaving me playing in open E. :)

  • DAMN GOOD! You bring your own style to this great song. There are a lotta TUIB covers on YouTube, and most of those performers imitate Dylan slavishly with regard to inflections and speech-song. You DON"T, which makes your cover the best I've heard thus far:). Best, Steve

  • @stevevandien Thanks. Part of the reason I don't imitate Dylan is that I learned the song from my brother-in-law years before I ever heard the original. :)

  • Nice work bro. Nice even strumming.

  • Thank you very much!

  • dude, this is awesome stuff! I love your strumming, but its hard for me to hear over your singing (which is awesome btw!). Any way you can record one verse w/o the singing so i can pick up your strum pattern? Or if you know it can you write it in your response? Sounds like D D UDU in 4/4 to me. But you are a bit quicker than that so I must have it wrong.

  • Man, great job :D

    You have talent

  • CHORDS YO!!! they would be much appreciated
