It seems some Italians are feeling nostalgic about Benito Mussolini, one of the key figures in the creation of fascism and an ally of Nazi Germany.

Lets spend all the money and call it charity. As long as Mussolini was making things work, who cares if he was evil in the shadows? The man was a dictator right? He spent all the money and put Italy in the pit of debt. Seems very similar to what is happening in America these days. Debt is piling up and the president is being praised for his charity work.

@johnthesencond Anyway fundamentally it was Hitler who got it wrong! I think youve been watching too many American documentaries who always have that 'Anglo-Saxon' take on things they never recognize Mussolini's many accomplishments put instead falsely picture Hitler as a genius when infact, he took many idea's from Mussolini! Actually Mussolini created jobs, built much infrastructure, made the trains run on time etc etc....

@MRRRKOOLLL Ahhh lets not forget one of the main reasons he lost because mussolini failed to lift his fatass and help no he just waited until it was too late. Almost every government copies from the Roman Empire. Mussolini was a coward who kissed Hilters boot when the walls were falling on him. Plus Hitler actually fixed Germany's economy unlike Mussolini who tried to hide that fact under propogandha and you call Hitler weak bow down to your true leader.

@maddingo12 I disagree Hitler copied many of Mussolini's ideas and The Roman Empire idea's. Italy was the first country in the world to build motorways not Germany. Mussolini was more intellectual than Hitler e.g Mussolini could speak several languages. Hitler was a failed Art Student and had a 2nd division mind. Yeah, and Hitler was a strong leader? That's why he lost the war! He was weak!
