Everyday Christians in restricted nations around the world are persecuted and even filled for their faith in Jesus Christ. They are considered heroes, and they must never be forgotten. Their timeless examples of love and perseverance stand as a shining light to Christians in the free world.
Bill Drake was inspired to write "Wear the Crown" after hearing about the murder of a modern-day missionary-American Bonnie Witherall-martyred in 2002, for her Christian work in Lebanon.

Funny -- I originally saw this video a couple of years ago, before I got to know Bill Drake. Now, I work with him on a regular basis, but somehow never made the connection between the video and Bill. The great part is that, now, actually knowing Bill, and knowing his heart, it really validates what he's saying, both the music and the interview here. This is the kind of stuff Bill lives on a daily basis, and reflects the Spirit of God working in him and through him.
Thanks!

Thanks Bill for the music and example of faith and obedience. Bill Drake was recently in Turkey, doing a concert not far from where three believers, followers of the Lord Jesus, were brutally murdered by some young muslim men. Pray for the believers in Turkey, especially the widows and children of these true martyrs [Greek word meaning witness] who did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death, (Rev. 12:11).
