2 of my favorite sub genres are Melodic Death and Black Metal. Hell, nowadays, I don't really even focus on sub-genres. I just listen to music if it sounds good to my ears. Whether it's as brutal as fuck like  Cannibal Corpse, or if it's soothing like music from The Sims

I listen to everything from Black Metal to Industrial to Trance lol. My tastes have shifted more to Symphonic/Neo-classical/Mediev­al influenced Power Metal though, but Black Metal is always at my roots. It saved me from the invisible shackles of religion :) About "my music is better", I like passionate music, musicians who make music because they truly love it and pour their very being into it, not to look hardccore or become popular, etc.
