The quality of the video is a bit off on this one... I must not be using CamStudio right.
Anyway, as I may have already mentioned, I am not a big fan of techno music (Nightwish and Dream Theater all the way for me!), although as an experiment I have tried to write some. Expanding my musical focus, if you will. However, I hope to upload some of my classical compositions, rock songs etc. This is one such piece, which is a little more close to my heart.
This is a classical piece I wrote when I got Garritan Personal Orchestra (on the recommendation of Sean Patrick Hannefin). At the time, the only sequencer I had was Cubasis VST 4... which is a HORRIBLE program to use. In between crashing and dying, I managed to do this piece. I played all the parts completely live on my USB keyboard: the Piano, Violin (A Gagli, I think), Church Organ, Pizzicato Violin (Stradivarius) and harp. I recorded each layer separately, but it was more or less something I was making up as I went along.
It's not so much a composition as an experiment with GPO, seeing what sounds work, and how.
The original piano melody that begins the piece made me think of snow falling, hence the name.
This reminds me of the soundtrack to The Road.

You like Nightwish and you're getting into techno? Listen to Enduser's End of a Beginning (Sublight version) or Venetian snares' Hajnal - some top notch symphonic drum and bass which will surely get the juices flowing! :)
What was the program in the video?
