In light of a widening range of threats to Israel's security, for the first time a group of senior Israeli generals has come together to outline the basic principles of a defense policy - rooted in a consensus spanning past and present Israeli governments - which is focused on Israel maintaining defensible borders. The crisis over the Hamas flotilla to Gaza illustrates how some of Israel's critical alliances in the Middle East are changing, especially its relationship with Turkey, and the importance of designing a defense policy that takes into account the uncertainties that Israel faces with many of its neighbors. Recent events only underscore that it is critical for Israel to preserve the principle of defending itself by itself.
Dershowitz in one confused puppy, just like most zios.
You get security through peace, not the other way around.
There is no 'disputed land' just occupied.The international community and world court is clear. Stop the spin Alan and get your ziost masters to withdraw from ALL the Illegally occupied territories. Israel can always withdraw to the borders in the partition plan if it doesn't like the pre 67 borders.

I have a lot of respect for Dershowitz, but he IS a confused leftist.
Yes Israel does need secure borders, but this should not be in the context of forming a Palestinian state which will have as its only purpose the destruction of Israel. Since Muslims will never respect the rights of the Jews to their own state, the Palestinians should not have their state.
End of story.

@2a7e2l91x Yeah, but if that wall is keeping Jews from being blown up to pieces, I prefer to be in one piece than to have "peace".

@PuttingItMildly
As long as there is a wall, a palestinian nation won't be able to be established, because a nation needs free speace!!
