  • that was lovely! You are truly doing a service for those who are troubled with eating disorders. I was so surprised to hear you are married. I'm old enough to be your mother and you look so young. They used to say that about me too. I did marry very young, and 40 years later still am married. Best of wishes on your journey to self understanding, and marriage! xoxo

  • @dolly1740 - Thank you. :) I do get that all the time. I look very young, but I'm 27 - proud wife, homeowner, and professional. Thanks for watching and for your kind comment. :)

  • I am so glad i found you from a youtube friend. You are a beautiful person, inside and out. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and personal experiences on here. It's helping me. :)

  • I'm so glad you find them helpful. Thanks so much for the kind comment. :)

  • I like what you say about not needing to tell everyone EVERYTHING to help you recover - this is definitely a trap I have fallen in to in the past. I am also happy you discussed relationships and when to tell your partner your story, as this is something that has been heavy on my mind lately.

I also started a video blog about eating disorders/body image (you can just click the link for my YouTube name and it will take you there)

I look forward to watching more of your videos!

  • wow this video is amazing! I do not struggle so much with eating disorders as I struggle with self-harm, but this really relates to myself and my own struggles and figuring out how and when to tell people in my own life. What you said about keeping it a secret just so you can fall back on it was especially catching for me, I think that I do that. This really made me think about why i keep my secrets.

you are very eloquent with your words and really are easy to listen to! Thanks so much!

  • You're so right! I wasn't sure when to tell my boyfriend, but like you said, when it was time, I knew. However, I would say not to put it off forever. Honesty is very important in relationships.

  • You are really really good to listen to because you really know what you're talking about. Your a big inspiration! I'll definitely take your advice on board when Im dating!

  • Hey! For anyone out there I actually told my boyfriend that I had an eating disorder after we broke up. I knew that I trusted him and It was much easier telling him , after we broke up. Just remember you have to be comfortable and have a good trusting relationship before you tell your boyfriend or girlfriend that .

    you're so pretty btw!

  • your words are very helpful, although my last boyfriend didn't keep many secrets of mine after our breakup, he did keep my eating problems to himself, for that I am thankful. Though that relationship ended it was nice to confined in someone about it. it was a deep relief
