  • SECRETARIAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he is the king! all i can say to him in heaven is, fly around those cloud tracks big boy! spread your wings and fly! BEAT THE BEST ONES UP THERE RED!

  • @nin12dog, In William Nack's, book there was some controvery in MWO, being voted #1, by Bloodhorse. They were both extraordinary horses but I give the edge to Secretariat. He was very intelligent for a horse. As per Penny Chenery, Sec., started dictating his own racing career as a 3 yr. old he started to understand racing. He made moves on the racetrack that no other horse has every done before i.e. The Preakness

  • Hey the time Man o War ever won by 100 lenghts was against Sir Brton right? Well Sir Barton was ready for the grave when Man o War raced against him!

  • @0Lunerancea0

Winning is not everthing, it depends how fast they are going not how many wins

  • @SpiritSmoosh

Secretariat faster pace was a 25 foot stride. He takes bigger strides when running a slow pace. i couldnt even begin to guess how many feet his stride was

  • Man 'O' War! I love them both, but Man 'O' War was the ultimate racehorse, I mean come on! 28 foot stride!

  • Both of 'em are greatgreatgreat horses. But Man O'War has won more races an with normal major organs, so he's a little bit better

  • different times all gr8 horses, RIP big boys.

  • Secretariat was one of the most famous, and most spirited horses I've ever, EVER have known.

  • If Man O War had the track surface and gear of today it would be a race in deed vs Secretariat. Although Secretariat had the better stride and times on the track, off the track Man O War proved himself as a more dynamic sire with greater winning and legendary offspring. All in all it is NOT an either/or who was better? It is a blessing that we were able to witness both on and off the track through those that documented it all. Respecting the greatness of both. Amen

  • Man O War, 3 world records, won a race by over 100 lengths, 2 american records, 3 track records, not to mention he was ranked #1 in the top 100 by experts who had never seen him run!

    He is the best!
