Bad Game Wednesdays #17 - Silver Surfer (NES)

This game had a nice concept, one that past games succeeded in doing.

This is a side-scrolling and top-scrolling shooter where you control the Silver Surfer. It's pretty much a standard shooter with powerups and loads of action on screen.

The problem with this game is you die if you touch ANYTHING. Touch a roof your dead, touch a bullet your dead, touch the rocks your dead.

It's a really frustration game, I've only ever finished half a level! If you wanna give it a go, enjoy.

p.s. the surfer's supposed to be able to go through a sun, yet he dies when a fish touches him? does the fish have power cosmic or something? wtf

This game really isn't THAT hard once you get the hang of it... I've had it for about 3 or 4 days and can already clear the first and second levels without dying... if you stay alive for long enough to collect all the weapon power ups you can blast through the enemies with ease...

I beat this game, don't know how many save-states were used! Honestly though, when you get the weapon fully upgraded, it's just a matter of holding down the turbo button.

This game really isn't as IMPOSSIBLE as everyone makes it out to be. You just need to play the levels enough to exploit all the openings and enemies manuevers. Then in time you'll beat it.

I almost completed the whole game. I completed all 5 stages and then died on the last stage I got so pissed off I will never try complete it again.

dude, im lookin for the nes on ebay ad im gonna get silver surfer with it, but cut me a break, you fall back to wait for the next green head thet kills you, and you go to the end of the screen to take them out, when you could just freakin go ahead past them. dont you think that;s optional? think abot it man.
