@gsco82 In my opinion, as a fellow tenor player, the distortions he created are an amazing addition to the adversity of the instrument, adding character in his own way. I think that the tenor sax in not "in need" of electric distortion, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't.

@KZaback sax teacher? Who said anything about one of those? The closest I ever got was a piano teacher, and he didn't mind my pinky going everywhere. Hah!
