On Independence Day, 2006, in the 104 degree Oklahoma heat, my crazy huband decided to pet a buffalo, but was stopped by a park ranger and almost fined 200 dollars for "animal harassment"

  • KC, This is the "stupid husband" in question. In my defense, I did not realize the danger involved at the time. I always saw the bulls running in the streets of Barcelona, and hated that people were tormenting them, but I saw the people were able to easily avoid the bulls (unless they were drunk). I thought the same for the buffalo, and my goal was to pet it, and show friendliness towards it.

    Lesson Learned.

  • Wow... that's begging for death.

For anybody watching: That was not a good idea. In the history of bad ideas, that's up there near the top of the worst.

Curious what the Ranger said at the end there.

  • Any instincts left???

  • Petting a buffalo? Curious ambition. Those things aren't housecats, your wife almost saw you die in a gruesome fashion.

  • not wise, your husband was in real danger and i don't mean from the cop. why didn't you try to stop him instead of filming? no offense, but i don't think either one of you really understand how dangerous that was.
