  • Another GREAT video SoCal. Looks like its good dirt for the 657E's not a push Dozer in site. What are they building here and looks like there going to move a LOT of dirt for that many 657 to be on one site ??

  • Whoah...I thought it was weird seeing a tracked bulldozer with a front-loader bucket, but then I see something that looks like a bucket loader with a bulldozer blade on it in the background! LOL, there's always something new! So, the curved arms over the hopper, those are to raise and lower the "apron"? So when it drops, it closes the hopper and hold the dirt in? And the blade and the hopper are fixed together, right? You lower the whole front end of the hopper and raise the apron to scrape?

  • So in the first shots, are they scraping or spreading the dirt? I don't know much about these things, which is why I looked them up. It sounded to me like they scrape the dirt up, and then the rear end of the hopper shoves the dirt forwards and out the bottom, basically the reverse of how it scrapes it up in the first place. Is that right? What if you don't want to spread the dirt back out? Is there a way to just dump it? Or would you just use something besides a scraper in the first place?

  • Its nice to know that there is sttll a market for these huge scrapers
