Dive at La Jolla Cove on 13 November 2011. Starting in the canyon beyond buoy B - we headed in to find the chinese style statue that lies in 50ft of water near the edge of the reef/kelp. finally a swim through the kelp back to the cove itself. Rockfish, spiny lobster, nudibranchs, kelp bass, California Barracuda.

  • The rockfish in the sponge is something we have seen before. It's like they enjoy resting there.

  • Beautiful fish. What is that guy doing in the giant anennome?

Jesus. B-Buoy is about 1/2 mile out... did you really surface swim that far with all that gear? That takes 20 minutes in just a Speedo. Maybe this was the Closest yellow A-Buoy?
