They call it a differnt market only so they can delude people into believing that they don't need full interoperability with standards based VTC systems, because "its not traditional VTC" Telepresence IS VTC just with specific rules applied.
I hope this wasn't wasn't put out by Cisco. It show the high usibility of the interface and actually highlights TANDBERG's superior functionality over a simple grey scale $350 VoIP Point to point TP then multi-point TP then add Polycom RPX then add H323 etc...etc...etc... with one button from a IP Phone. Basically the functionality you see in this video IS NOT POSSIBLE WITH CISCO TP - PERIOD. I would not mind having to press a few more buttons to have those capabilities.
Great question which reminds me that there was at least one web cam type endpoint, not sure if it ws MOC, MOVI or something else. That site had poor quality, but that is what you expect from a web cam. The other sites looked great, and I think they said it could do up to 48 sites. And, what was key for me is that it was all started from pressing a single button on the phone screen. This is so different from video conferencing I can see why the Cisco folks call this a different market.
What was the resolution on the 22 site interop meeting with Cisco Telepresence? Fuzzy much? TANDBERG Telepresence is the only fully interoperable immersive 1080p Telepresence currently available.
There may not be a video, But have seen the demo where Cisco brings up a 22 site interop meeting with cisco, polycom, lifesize and Tandberg endpoints in combination with several of those sites being outside of cisco - B2B. Tandberg has some great products, but they have been playing catch up for sometime now on the B2B and simplicity of a cisco solution. Keep an eye out for the video you are looking for!
So, can you please post a video of the telepresence solution that enables me to connect with seven different sites using the variety of endpoints and vendors shown in the original TANDBERG video with the push of just one button? Oh, that video's not available. Yea, I didn't think so... Jealous much?

Please show how many buttons would have to be pressed behind the scenes on a Cisco TP to recreate that call?
