3 Robotic Steel Drums

3 Pans - Double seconds and a C melody play robotically with suction powered pneumatics triggered by an electronic valve and MIDI controls. We have had the honor to have designed and built more thatn 18 of the instruments used in the Pat Metheny Orchestrion project on tour now. I ave recently been interviewed by the New York Times and Jazz Times. CBS Sunday morning has called to come here from New York to interview and film RagtimeWest for there show airing in March, 2010.

When used together, direct, there doesn't seem to be a latency issue but when used with a sound card, the computers ability to generate the sound font is sometimes really slow. Depends on your sound card and system.

This is pure awesome. Are there any latency issues with the MIDI controller? Or can you hook this up to a MIDI keyboard and play live?
