The narrator/writer clearly misunderstands the concept of selfish genes

Agreed. Dawkins himself admits "selfish gene" is somewhat regrettable in the sense that people always think that it literally means PEOPLE are always selfish, when in actuality the book is mostly about altruism! I guess people should just read the book and not the title alone!
