Surfing North Shore at Backyards on Oahu Near Sunset Beach

Surfing we watched from the back yard of our family's Christmas rental on the North Shore of Oahu at Sunset Beach or more precisely Backyards. Most of the surfers we saw this session were towed into the waves by jet skis. I taped this on December 26, 2005 and the waves just kept getting bigger over the next few days! @friberg999 I agree with you, keep it on the down low but everyone knows where backyards is by now don't you think. It's been a well known spot now for many years.

The local surfing community is trying to preserve this spot from getting overrun with people and cameras like a lot of the other spots around. Its kind of a low-key underground spot, you know what I mean? So, if it is photographed, (which BTW, isn't allowed) out of respect, it is best left unnamed. Can you please take off the "precise" location from the title? Aloha.
