FAIR PLAY NEMO,BUT I WOULD NOT SPEND $25-30 ON A OTTER BOX WHEN YOU CAN GET A EX FILTER FROM EBAY NEW FOR THAT SORT OF PRICE

good video. Couple of questions
1) Any leads on where one can get the pumps from ?
2) What is the sequence of media to be used inside the canister ?
3) How did you make the inlet and outlet values leakproof at the place where they enter / leave the otterbox ?

1. Fountain pumps: hardware stores, lowes, walmart, home depot,
Aquarium pumps: petco, petsmart, walmart I use a fountain pump in these videos, just make sure intake cannot suck (and kill) a fish into it.
2. Fluval biomax (helps build bacteris) and Fluval sponge (mechanical and biological). Can be ordered online or at a local pet store (petco/petsmart)
3.Silicone, which is common used to fix leaking aquairums.
Thanks. hope this helps,

i have a 50 gallon tank what is the best pump to use in terms of gph and the right size for the container?
your videos are all great thanks for uploading...

It depends if the filter would be working on it's own. you want the filter to be able to filter your tank several times an hour like 4-6ish so 200-300gph. remmeber the water flow will be slowed by the filter material (if the pump is pushing water through the flter, like my diy filter). container is your choice it depends on how much media will be used. also, bigger containers slows the water even more. If the filter is just to help than you could downgrade this.
thanks! hope this helps!

Hey, thanks for answering my Q's. I especially like the shout out, kinda makes feel special. I have done some further research and as you said, I would need something bigger. So I have decided to go with something like the Eheim Ecco 2236. I think that it would not only be more condusive to my application, but cheaper in the end.
Once again, thank you for your response and knowledge. I like what you got going on there. Keep it up!
