Mukuru Fire

Over 400 families will tonight spend the night in the cold after yet another slum fire razed down their shanties in the Mukuru Fuata Nyayo slums. The fire is said to have started after a couple engaged in a quarrel then hit a lit stove. Scores more are still displaced after another fire gutted down houses in the same area, less than a month ago, a situation that is raising more questions on disaster mitigation in the city.
